Umm...Amazing.

A scene from NBC's 30Rock:

I still love my iPhone

Here is an excerpt from a recent CNN.com article:

Cell phones can affect sperm quality, researcher says
Keeping a cell phone on talk mode in a pocket can decrease sperm quality, according to new research from the Cleveland Clinic.

"We believe that these devices are used because we consider them very safe, but it could cause harmful effects due to the proximity of the phones and the exposure that they are causing to the gonads," says lead researcher Ashok Agarwal, the Director of the Center for Reproductive Medicine.

Agarwal emphasized that it is far too early for men to start changing cell phone carrying habits, noting that his own cell phone was in his pocket as he talked to CNN.

"Our study has not provided proof that you should stop putting cell phones in your pocket. There are many things that need to be proven before we get to that stage," he said.

The Science of Attraction

Here is an excerpt from BBC:

High testosterone in women makes them more attracted to masculine actors such as Daniel Craig, with men favouring the femininity typified by Natalie Portman.

The claim has been made by the University of Aberdeen's Face Research Laboratory.

Their research says that changes in testosterone levels affect the extent to which men and women are attracted to different types of faces.

Dr Ben Jones, a psychology lecturer, said: "People preferred different types of face in the session where their testosterone level was highest than in the session where it was lowest.

"When men's testosterone levels were high, they were more attracted to feminine women. When women's testosterone levels were high, they were more attracted to masculine men.

"Since masculine men and feminine women are thought to produce the healthiest children and sex drive is higher when testosterone levels are also high, these findings suggest that men and women in hormonal states where their interest in sex is highest, show stronger attraction to high quality - or healthy - mates."

Colleague Dr Lisa Welling added: "We tend to think that attraction is relatively stable over time.

"However, our research shows that attraction is affected by fluctuations in testosterone levels."

Candy From A Stranger

Yesterday, a song by the artist Myah Marie was "leaked" as Spears' new single, which it obviously is not as it is a fake. I still thought it was catchy and therefore decided to share it with you; especially if you like over-produced-dance-pop music. This track also features two hip artists Laze and Royal. Laze & Royal is a hip hop, rap, alternative, Pop group hailing from North Hollywood, CA. The group is made up of two 19-year old twin brothers, Bennett “Laze” Armstrong and Justyn “Royal” Armstrong. Laze & Royal originally started as a group named “2XL” which was later renamed “Hollywood High School” which was finally changed to “Laze & Royal.” Click HERE to go to Myah Marie's MySpace page. And click here to download the mp3 if you like it. Again this is NOT Britney, but it is catchy.

In Awe!

I know I have already commented on Damien Hirst 1.5 times in this blog already, but today was a historic day and I am still left somewhat speechless by it. Today, the first of two days, began a landmark auction of some 223 works of art by Damien Hirst at Sotheby's estimated at 62 million pounds. ALREADY, in only one day, the auction has made over 70.5 million pounds.

The Economists  made two major observations about this auction.
1.) Sotheby's has never auctioned off art that han't previously been sold, nor has it sold artwork that is less than 5 years old before.
2.) All major economic indicators would say that the art market is suffering, and that holding such an ambitious and risky auction would go against any logical thinking.

And yet...AMAZING!

Click HERE to see the article/video at BBC.com. I could swear they man in charge of calling and moderating the auction is grinning with disbelief as he calls out all the high bids.

The Title Says It All

There were actually over 60 reviews which gave this movie a Rotten Tomato, here are some highlights:

"It's not even value for money if you're a moron."
- Daily Mail
"Leaves one with a feeling of failure - and the knowledge that, come this spring, these idiots will more than likely be back."
- Filmcritic.com
Also, pay attention to the "Consensus" in the screenshot above. By the way, this movie made over $12 million.

A recent piece by graphic artist Danil Kryvoruchko from Moscow, Russia.

*I'm not sure what that means, it just sounded like the right thing to say.

Is it bad that I want to see this?

It is getting GREAT reviews as it had just opened in Seattle...

And I am not gonna lie. I want to see it when it comes to Broadway in November. Any takers?
